1. Introduction

Swapp-It is an application developed to facilitate the exchange, purchase, and sale of new or second-hand school supplies among students, parents, and guardians. By using this application, you agree to the terms outlined in this document, which govern the use of the platform, your rights as a user, and our responsibilities as the provider.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Swapp-It, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, you must refrain from using the application. This agreement is legally binding.

3. Eligibility

To use Swapp-It, you must be at least 15 years old and have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. User Registration and Account

To access certain features, you must create an account.

  • You are required to provide truthful, complete, and up-to-date information.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.
  • Swapp-It is not responsible for any misuse of your account by third parties.

5. Permitted Use

  • The application must be used exclusively for educational purposes: exchanging, buying, and selling school supplies.
  • It is prohibited to post offensive, misleading, illegal content or content that infringes on the rights of others.
  • The platform may not be used for commercial purposes unrelated to its educational mission.

6. Product Listings

  • Users must accurately describe the condition of the products.
  • It is mandatory to disclose any defects, damage, or special conditions.
  • Failure to provide relevant information may result in penalties or account suspension.

7. Payments and Transactions

  • All physical transactions must be made in cash within the educational institution, in designated areas known as “Swapp-It Zones.”
  • Users must verify the condition of the product before making a payment.
  • Online payments and transactions are processed through a payment gateway directly associated with Swapp-It.

8. Return Policy

Defects must be reported within 72 hours of purchase. Returns are accepted for the following reasons:

  • Missing parts (buttons, pages, zippers)
  • Water damage
  • Electronics that do not work
  • Stains, tears, or rips

If the defect was disclosed in the product description, the item is not eligible for return.

9. Reputation and Reporting System

  • Users may rate each other after each transaction.
  • Ratings help build trust within the community.
  • If a user receives multiple reports for inappropriate behavior, their account will be reviewed and may be suspended or deleted.

10. Modifications to the Terms

  • Swapp-It reserves the right to modify these terms at any time.
  • Significant changes will be communicated to users via email or within the app.
  • Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Account Termination

  • Swapp-It may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
  • Users may request account deletion at any time.

12. Intellectual Property

All content within the application, including logos, text, images, and software, is the property of Fundación Alberto Motta or its licensors.

It is prohibited to copy, modify, or distribute this content without authorization.

13. Limitation of Liability

  • Swapp-It is not responsible for any losses, damages, or harm resulting from the use of the platform.
  • Responsibility for listed products lies solely with the users.
